For some reason the cart in the city has the best platters. This is a branch of those guys but the cart in Manhattan is better. Very good food, quick stop, parking on site. The last 2 are reasons this place is better.
The food here is great! They give you lots of room to customize and it's super vegetarian friendly. I always get the falafel sandwich and my husband gets the beef platter. The service is usually amazing and the wait is never terribly long. Small tables make this a bad choice for big groups unless the order is to go, but it's a great choice for dinner in a pinch
It's just as good as eating from the original cart in Manhattan, but without the insane line and smell of bum urine. Be careful with the hot sauce, it is one of the hottest I have ever tasted.
The falafel is too good! The flavours would just explode in your mouth... They stack the pita bread next to (at times on top of) shredded chicken. So if you are a vegetarian, you'll have to tell them specifically. They used an aluminium foil and heated my pita bread separately.
As a long time customer of the East Brunswick location I've noticed the quality of food & service diminish over time. When they first opened the food was always fresh, juicy and delicious. Not so anymore. There used to be a good consistency with the quality. But now every time I order, the chicken tastes stale, with the beef usually being a little better but not great. I've had to throw my last 2 platters in the trash half way through eating them. Such a waste of food, time, & my money. I'm only giving it 2 stars instead of 1, because of the sauce.
