I've been very upset at aqua spa for quite sometime now. Been meaning to write a review. I got my manicure messed up here before and they said they would re do it again but I did not want to wait another hour. Then at the other location power went off while I was getting a facial. Both times manager did not speak with me and both times I paid full price. I have been coming here for years and recommended probably about 10 women who come here regularly and some not already due to their experience. Well, after 3 months of not going here I decided to come back in here for a quick pedi. I usually do get pedi and mani but they did not have anyone available to do it today. I did regular French pedi and it actually turned out great. New girl Natalia did great job and was careful and very attentive. I wish I could give 5 stars but my last experiences and lack of management concern leaves me with 3 stars. Hopefully one day I will be able to change it back to 5.
So.. Cleared my calendar on a Saturday afternoon and came in for my first lash service (at this particular place) just to have the most horrendous experience with the rudest and most condescending of employees. Now mind you, I'm a member at this place so, I really did not expect this to happen. This all began when I filled out the release/consent form (that I must have filled out minimum 20 before in my lifetime at other places cause I get my lashes done often) and this tech (who will be named: Janice) started in with her attitude as soon as I told her I wasn't consenting to photographs being taken of me for her/salon portfolio. After the first tidbit of attitude she led me to the back and started going in with an even more mean, rude, and super condescending attitude. She was very abrasive and I think this was because there was no Managment present this day. She ended up refusing the service (cause I wasn't putting up with her mess and challenged her rudeness). Moral of the story DO NOT GET YOUR LASHES DONE HERE!!!
I had one of the best massages I have ever had. I was suffering from back pain and they tailored the massage perfectly. I highly recommend!
I've tried this spa twice now for my pedicure and gel manicure. In terms of the pedicure, it was really great both times. The hot stone massage was a really nice touch and the polish application was well done. However, my experience with the gel manicure was terrible and I would not return to this spa because of it. I have been getting Shellac done at another salon for the last 4 years and have never had any issues. The application has usually always lasted at least 2 to 3 weeks without cracking or chipping. When I got the gel manicure done at AquaSpa, both times, it chipped after just a few days. They use the CND Shellac colors, but do not use their top coat and seem to use a cheaper top coat of poor quality. Also, my hands were never soaked and my cuticles were barely properly cleaned up. The polish was not properly applied until the end of my nails (due to the poor cuticle clean up).
AQUASPA is okay. Nothing special but got the job done.
The location was very clean and comfortable. I came in on a Friday evening which was a busy time but there were plenty of employees and spa chairs so there was almost no wait. The price is reasonable. It cost $50 for a full service basic mani pedi.
