I think this place was great! I went last year at the end of the season & I only went for the apple picking but when I went back this Sat I was amazed! This Chris person, who gave a bad review doesn't understand nor look around.
This farm is very clean. I felt grateful to slow life down and walk through their wonderful farm.
It's a nice and different experience doing this. We didn't have a lot of luck because we went on Sunday middle afternoon. There were not a lot of ripe strawberries, but enough to pick up 2 lb for me and my wife. You won't find a nice looking strawberry or cheaper that Costco, for example, but you are paying for the experience of picking up your own fruit. There were a lot of kids and I think that they enjoy their time in the farm. Their country store was nice and small, with a small selection of fruit and vegetables, but again, you'll find better prices in other places. You are paying for supporting local farmers.
Don't eat- so the company doesn't get crapped out on money
If you drop it pick it up- so they don't rot, which people don't listen too cause if they did then there wouldn't be any on the ground.
The did have several types of apples to pick from but yes some weren't available but that's because some apples bloom at diff times.
Also they do give out sicks to grab the high ones, put a $5 deposit & when you return it then you get your $5 back.
Don't climb- so the tree doesn't get damaged & can keep growing
They had hay rides! Funnel cakes! Corn, corn mazes, Pumpkin's both large & tiny. I had so much fun!!!
Overall disappointing. Arrived to go apple picking to be greeted by a long list of rules [if an apple falls while you are picking, pick it up because it's yours, no climbing, no this, no that]. When entering the apple orchard there are about 2 dozen rows of apple trees of which 7/8 or 21 of them are labeled "do not pick". So that leaves you 3 or 4 rows of apples to choose from. At the time of this writing it was macoon, royal gala, and honey crisp. Of the ones available MOST of the apples are at the top of the tree, but you cannot climb and they do not provide any grabbing tools. On top of that, the grounds are littered with fallen, fermenting or rotten apples. The smell is absolutely terrible. You would be better off apple picking at a super market or a real apple orchard where there aren't a dozen or so rules for picking the available rotten or out of reach apples. The pumpkin patch and hayride we didn't try but they seemed well maintained.
The only 2 things I wasn't crazy on, one lady we asked where we go to get bags to pick apples... She was very blah, bored, hated being there. Also I wish they didn't give bags... Maybe a bucket. My bag ripped bacuse we got so many apples. $1.99 per lb
It was a lot of fun, there was plenty to do with pumpkins and apples with vendors for food in the fall, and strawberries in the late spring early summer. Favorite place to go on a day off!!!
They do have rules to picking but that's because it's for the best.
